Imran Chowdhury, Managing Director
Imran Chowdhury was born and raised in Bangladesh. He received a full-scholarship from General Electric to obtain his Bachelors in Computer Science from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY. After graduation, Imran worked for companies like AT&T, Lucent, Deloitte Consulting, McKinsey & Company for over 14 years. Imran has studied with Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaquobi, Shaykh Nuh Keller, Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Imam Zaid Shakir, SHaykh Walead Muhammad and Shaykh Jihad Brown. After working with a variety of Muslim organizations and on various projects, he started Tazkiya.net in 2002. This site was dedicated to bringing knowledge of traditional Islam online. In mid-2002, Imran was introduced to the Hanafi Fiqh list maintained by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani. After benefiting from the list, he requested permission to post the answers from the list on Tazkiya.net. After realizing the tremendous need of reliable online religious knowledge, he decided to launch SunniPath, an online Islamic educational institute. Sidi Imran now acts as SunniPath's Managing Director. He currently lives in Amman, Jordan with his wife.
