Free Live Event “Redirecting Our Footsteps with Sacred Knowledge” This Sunday

Sacred knowledge is vital for our own eternal salvation: without it, we could be walking on a path to Hell without even realizing it. Yet fewer and fewer people are learning in our times, causing a profound negative impact both on ourselves and on our communities as a whole.
Join us this Sunday, January 18th for a live online event entitled “Redirecting Our Footsteps with Sacred Knowledge” with Shaykh Sulayman Van Ael. Using two Sahih hadiths as the basis of his talk, Shaykh Sulayman will address the importance of seeking sacred knowledge, motivating us towards Paradise.

Tafsir Downloads
 We are excited to announce that our new downloadable Tafsir series exposited by Ustadha Umm Sahl is now available online. The Divine Word is a verse-by-verse exposition of the Quran, starting with Sura Yunus (Jonah). The Tafsir Series is based on private sessions of instruction by Sheikh Ali Hani to Sheikh Nuh Keller and his wife Ustadha Umm Sahl. The result is quite different from anything else available in English.
The project will enable individuals with little or no knowledge of Arabic to understand the order and perfection of the Quran.

New Universal Lesson Player for SP Courses
At SunniPath, we are always looking for ways to improve your learning experience. Over the last semester, our Research and Development department has been busy creating a new lesson player for SunniPath courses.
This new software will make it easier for students to navigate through their course pages, and those taking more than one course will see the same interface for all of their lessons, creating a seamless learning environment.
On this new interface, you will be able to:
- View all the lessons for the course along with key information such as recommended lesson due dates;
- Download individual lessons, where applicable, and PDF handouts; and
- Play the lesson online
all on a single screen.
Our aim is to make learning sacred knowledge as easy as possible for our students and insha’Allah the new Universal Player will enable us to do this.
We plan to launch the new player this Spring across 5 courses: LAH101, HST101, GNL025, TJW102, and TJW201. All courses will be using the Universal Player by this Summer. More information will be available on our homepage soon.
Focus on Gaza
The fighting in Gaza is currently dominating world affairs. We want to bring your attention to the human suffering and the civilian victims of this war. The question that many people want an answer to is how can I help?
The answer to this lies in 3 things:
- Making much supplication to Allah Most High asking Him to end this human suffering and aid the victims of this tragedy. One should aim to make extra supplication during tuhajjud, within gatherings, and any other time one is able to do so.

Donating to legitimate relief agencies, who comply with the rules and regulations stipulated by the home countries from which they operate. Sadaqah is a major source of blessings for both the donor and the recipient. It is reported that Allah(s) returns all sadaqa back to the person increasing it between 70 and 700 times.
- Encouraging the government in our home countries to redirect its resources to end this suffering.
May Allah make us all a source of ease and comfort for one another, Ameen.
