Is the Zakat class still offered or was it cancelled? I do not see it open for registration.

There won’t be a live session because we felt that the nature of personal Zakat questions wouldn’t work well if asked in a general live session. Rather, these questions were best answered one-on-one, so that students could read/listen to answers that were best suited to their circumstances. Insha’Allah in addition to the forum/emails, Shaykh Sohail will be holding office hours for more involved questions like what you are referring to.

Regarding the course on Zakat. Am I to understand that there will be no live sessions or office hours? What if email is not sufficient to ask your questions, since some cases require follow-up back and forth? Won’t that make it difficult to confidently calculate zakat? I have a book and took the Essentials of Islam that discussed Zakat and its integrals. But at times there are questions on special cases – which you want clarified and I am not sure email is sufficient.

It would help to have at least one Q&A live session.
