Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatu Llahi

Our beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) advised that as well as ibadaat, one should make time for eating, recreation and sleep. In the spirit of this advice SunniPath Academy organised a picnic for its staff and their families. The picnic was held on Monday 14th July, a beautiful sunny day and the destination, after some delibaration, was the Maqam of Nabi Shoaib (Alayhi Salaam).

The drive to our destination took us through the mountains and lush green vegetation, a constant reminder of the beauty and miracles of Allah (Subhanallah Watallah’s) creation, particularly when one finds such greenery in an otherwise arid environment. After arriving at the Maqam, giving our Salawaat and making our heartfelt duas we had a delicious lunch in the company of our colleagues and friends.

The rest of the time was spend playing with the children and enjoying the beauty of the area. Reportedly there was also a brothers football (soccer) match between Administration and the Teaching staff, the results of which vary between 1-1 to 2-0 depending on who you ask! I hope I speak for the rest of the team in giving my thanks to the organizers and looking forward to many more such excursions in the future.
