SunniPath Says Farewell to Shaykh Faraz

Posted by Ashraf Muneeb, Dean of the Academy on May 14th, 2008

Assalamu Alaikum,

I am saddened to announce Shaykh Faraz is leaving SunniPath to pursue other initiatives in service of our Ummah. While we will miss him greatly, I pray that Allah blesses all his future endeavors and grants him tawfeeq.

He has been a key member of SunniPath since the beginning. The entire SunniPath family would like to thank Shaykh Faraz for his immense contribution, dedication, and hard work — may Allah reward him in this world and the next.

Please join me in thanking Shaykh Faraz and bidding him farewell.

A beautiful Shaykh once reminded this pauper that you don’t forsake the ones you know… so even though Shaykh Faraz is venturing out to other avenues and will be missed I’m sure he’s still very much part of our lives and the SunniPath familia.

Shaykh Faraz – wishing you all the best and His Tawfeeq.

Take care, keep smiling, and wasalaam alaykum wa rahmatullah

Bismillah and as-salamu ‘alaykum,

Shaykh Faraz has rendered an immense service to Muslims that will be remembered. I for one would like to thank Shaykh Faraz personally for his erudition and enriching my religious life and helping me in gaining knowledge of the Hanafi Madhhab that I would otherwise not have access to. Thanks and appreciation also to SunniPath who have fulfilled a big need for Muslims online and making accessible traditional learning to the masses.

Asalamalikum, Yes I have immensely gained from Shaykh Faraz’s classes which I attended at Sunnipath, I wish him all the best, vast opening from ALLAH in what ever path he choices for the services of this Ummah. And thank you for letting us be part of your humble presence at sunnipath. wasalam

The light which has been spread by Sheikh Faraz’s service to the Ummah shines brightly and dazzles everyone is such a way, that one has to shade the eyes with their hands to get a better look.
No doubt his service is continuing, and may Allah bless him and give him the tawfeeq to reach greater heights! Ameen Ya rabb. Shukr to Allah for giving us such blessings in our lives.

In the Name of Allah Most Merciful and Most Kind,

Shaykh Faraz brought light and wit to his classes. I have warm memories of good, solid knowledge, transmitted in a superb manner.

May Allah Most Glorious give Shaykh Faraz success in his next venture and may Sunnipath continue its strong path to bringing fantastic learning to all the people.

Was salaam.

Sad news indeed.Shaykh Faraz is subhanAllah such an excellent teacher that his students will always miss him at SunniPath. :(

One runs short of words to explain how tremendously this one teacher has touched and changed the lives of so many scattered across the globe.

May Allah SWT bless the sheikh and his family.

I would like to say that Shaykh Faraz has had an immense influence in my life and my work. I have always sought his clear and insightful advice and he has always been forthcoming and open. May Allah bless him and his family always and continue to allow us to benefit from him! Ameen.

SunniPath without Sh Faraz? Can that be? :(

May Allah Most High grant him success and baraka in whatever he decides to do.

Asalamu Alaikum,
It’s been my honor to have met (at the Virginia suhba, though he probably doesn’t remember…lol) and to learn from this beautiful brother. May Allah grant you success in all your endeavors. You will be missed here.

inshaa Allah this reaches all in the best of states.

May Allah give everyone good in this life and the next.

I am really sad (almost to tears) to hear of Shaykh Faraz departure. I have benefitted a great deal from Shaykh Faraz over the years. As a seeker of Knowleddge of sorts. Shaykh Faraz was always there to keep one grounded. Someone recently asked whats the main thing I learned from Shaykh Faraz my reply was “Get use to saying I don’t know”

Inshaa Allah we’ll continue to benefit from Shaykh Faraz ( May Allah preserve him)

Abdul Latif Al-Amin

AsSalaamu Alaikum

Shaykh Faraz is an asset to the ummah in our time. We pray that Allah SWT preserve and protect him and his family. We look forward to his continued service to Allah SWT & His Beloved (s), may Allah SWT give him the means to continue to bring light where there is darkness. Ameen

Shalom,

Even though I do not know the esteemed Shaykh personally, I have come to love his works, his writings on SunniPath, his calm responses to polemics and most especially, his weblog at Seeker’s Digest.

His departure will certainly leave a gaping hole in both my daily reads and heart.

Thanks for everything and may God’s peace go with you, Shaykh, whichever direction you decide to take.

As-salamaua aliakaum,

I cannot put in words how much I have gained through Shaykh Faraz’s SunniPath’s classes. .

.InshahAllah, even though Shaykh Faraz and SunniPath are going their separate ways, we make dua that they both continue to be guiding lights for those who seek the knowledge of pleasing Allah…

May Allah give Shaykh Faraz Tawfiq in everything he does and may ALlah reward SunniPath for being a continued means of good.

Alhamdulillah, though we will miss Shaykh Faraz on SunniPath, we are glad that he is local to us in Toronto…and we also thank Allah that SunniPath will continue with it’s good works on the Internet..

Allahuma Nasullah Tawfiq.

Allahuma Ameen.

W’salams

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Assalamu Alaikum,

Shaykh Faraz is someone many will miss seeing at SunniPath. Like many I have gained immensely from him. Even though Shaykh Faraz has departed from SunniPath traces of his hard work and dedication will always be there. I hope SunniPath can still work with him by inviting him to give talks and, in particular, answer questions.

wa salam

Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim,

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “When a person dies, all action is cut off for him with the exception of three things: sadaqa which continues, knowledge which benefits, or a righteous child who makes supplication for him.”

With love and brotherhood.
