Thoughts from the SunniPath Staff (Final)

Posted by Saudah Mirza, Outreach Manager on May 13th, 2008

Zaynab Ansari, Instructor
I am motivated to work for SunniPath because I appreciate the beauty of Sidi Imran’s vision and have learned so much from Shaykh Faraz, Shaykh Hamza, Ustadha Hedaya, Shaykh Abdul-Kareem, and Sidi Ismael. I love the idea of online Islamic learning for those unable to travel to seek knowledge.

What’s most special is how SunniPath endeavors to have that human touch and connection in an online medium. While the goal is to impart beneficial knowledge, it is the human interaction that has made SunniPath what it is.

Danya Shakfeh, Volunteer
There a few things that motivate me:

  • Working for the sake of Allah
  • Helping other Muslims learn their deen
  • Meeting people who have a similar mindset

The most special thing about SunniPath is its cause. Striving for the sake of Allah to teach his deen through a methodology that is very important to teach (ie, isnad).

Abdul-Kareem Yahyaa, Instructor
Fulfilling the trust of conveying the knowledge we have taken and assisting those who aided us in its pursuit. Being used to make the Prophet’s Dawa (peace be upon him) reach “Where the night reaches.” and making brothers and sister for Allah from all over the world.

Yousuf Haque, Director of Strategy
SP’s mission is to connect students and scholars across geographical boundaries for the sake of sacred knowledge, that is what motivates me.

Most special to me are the palpable spiritual benefits of devoting oneself, however little, to a blessed project.
