Love for the Prophet
Bismillah.
‘…One of the signs of love for the the Prophet is having compassion for his community, giving them good counsel, striving for their best interests and removing what is harmful from them just as the Prophet was “compassionate, merciful to the believers.”‘
~ Ash-Shifa of Qadi ‘Iyad.
Ash-Shifa was the first book written by an Islamic scholar about Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him. It is an amazing book, for it speaks not only of the life of the Messenger, but also about his noble character and the development and importance of love for him. Here’s the link to chapter two entitled “On the Necessity of Loving the Prophet,” which was discussed by Ustadha Noura Shamma during the live Mawlid event: http://bewley.virtualave.net/shifa2.html
Shiekh Abdul-Kareem is currently teaching a SunniPath course, “Full Moon Rising: the Light and Life of the Last Prophet.” Masha Allah class attendance is very high and we students thus far have been enjoying as well as benefiting from this course.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu,
Apologies for the mistake regarding the title; The full name of the book is “Kitab Ash-shifa bi ta’rif huquq al-Mustafa” which means “Healing by the recognition of the Rights of the Chosen one.”
The book is available for purchase at the SunniPath bookstore at http://www.sunnipath.com/bookstore/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=BKMP1001
