Thoughts from the SunniPath Staff (Part 4)
assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah,
Hedaya Hartford, Instructor
My motivation to work for SP is the chance to teach as many as possible without having to physically be all over the globe. I like the set up. I feel it gives everyone the freedom to listen to the lessons when they can and as many times as they need to and then it gives us a chance to meet at the end of the week to cover any questions that are still unclear.
Fatima Ahmad, Instructional Designer
I can honestly say without exaggerating, this is the best job I’ve ever had. What motivates me to work for Sunnipath, is quite simply, the desire to spread this knowledge, Allah’s wisdom on the earth. Helping Muslims struggling with access to Shiekhs to answer the everyday questions that Allah requires us to know.
The most special part for me is the challenge that Sunnipath brings to me. Being in a new company that is still in the process of redesigning and growing and changing, I have discovered a new field that I was unaware of (Instructional Design). I actually thought Sidi Ismael just made up the title
and it wasn’t a real job! Now though I feel it incorporates all of my interests, experiences and education. I thank ALLAH, most High for stumbling upon this great blessing.
Qays Arthur, Systems Administration
What motivates you to work for SunniPath? These two statements of the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) motivate me: a. to work and b. to work for SunniPath specifically (respectively):
“No one has ever eaten better food than what he eats from the work of his hands ..”. ( Bukhari ) and “The Best of People are those who are of most benefit to others.” (Hadith: At-Tabarani,al-Kabir)
The second hadith also addresses what I think is most special about SP namely the great long term (i.e in both abodes) benefit there is, inshaAllah, in SP as an endeavor.
