Why Money Matters to Allah

Posted by Saudah Mirza, Outreach Manager on September 25th, 2007

assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah,

This Saturday, SunniPath will be hosting its second CourseLens for the Fall 2007 semester, Why Money Matters to Allah with Shaykh Faraz Rabbani at 2pm GMT.

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and give him peace, cautioned that, “Allah is Pure and accepts nothing but the pure,” and made clear that the acceptability of one’s spiritual works depends on the purity of one’s earnings and spending. This live event with Shaykh Faraz explores why money matters to Allah, so that we can begin to understand and appreciate the wisdom behind Shariah guidance on financial issues. Why Money Matters to Allah is a CourseLens for the upcoming course Introduction to Islamic Finance.

Assalamu Alaikum,
I’m interested in taking this course but am doubtful that I will be able to make a commitment of 4 hours a week or even follow-up weekly.
Therefore, I was wondering whether or not the course material (i.e. recorded lectures, etc.) will be available to people who have registered even after the course has been completed. I.e. would it be possible for one to access the material also at a later date?
Jazakum Allah Khair!

wa ‘alaykum assalam,

I’m not sure what course you’re referring to, as this post is on a free event.

But here’s info on course access from our course policies (http://www.sunnipath.com/Academy/Online/Information/policies.aspx). Hopefully this answers your question.

Access to Course Materials after Semester End Date: At the end of the semester, students will no longer have access to self-study drills, assignments, exams, or the teachers/teaching assistants. For one additional semester, students will have access to the lesson recordings, discussion forum archives (no new questions/posts will be answered), and journals. After the second semester of access, students will no longer have access to any part of the course, including their journals. So be sure to copy any notes into Microsoft Word or similar word processing software to save.

Please note: in order to earn credit for a course, all requirements must be completed by the deadlines given. Continued access for an additional semester does not allow students additional time to complete course credit requirements unless they re-register and repeat the course.

Assalaam i’ve missed that event is it possible to see the recording jazakallah
