Turn Your Prayers into a Spiritual Experience

Posted by Saudah Mirza, Outreach Manager on August 21st, 2007

assalamu ‘alaykum,

Announcing a new short course, at a special tuition rate for Ramadan:

The Supplications of the Daily Prayer
Turning the Prayer into a Spiritual Experience

with Shaykh Hamza Karamali

Saturdays from 12-2pm GMT / 8-10am EST
Starts Saturday, September 15th

Five times a day at least, we turn our faces towards the Qibla to fulfill the second pillar of Islam. The purpose of prayer is not merely the outward physical motions associated with prayer. Rather, Allah Most High told the Prophet Musa, upon him be peace, to “establish the Prayer to remember me” (Surah Taha). The essence of prayer is this remembrance of Him, and every single motion and utterance is perfectly designed to induce a certain kind of remembrance in the heart of the worshiper.

In this special four-week course during the month of Ramadan, learn the meanings and significance behind the various supplications said during the daily prayer so that you can transform it from a rote recital into an active engagement with increased presence of heart. Not only will the supplications be translated, but Shaykh Hamza will also include commentary and an explanation of the spiritual significance and wisdoms embedded within them.

Like all SunniPath courses, live lessons are recorded for later review or if you are unable to attend live.

Assalam-u-alay kum wr wb,
SubhanAllah another one! What would SunniPath do without Shaykh Hamza! :D
WSalaam & Allah Hafiz

Alhamdulillah … i am looking forward to taking this class with shaykh Hamza …. ive been praying almost all of my life but know very little of the wisdom and viture behind it. I have read a few books but its not the same as having it explained and shaykh hamza is a very good teacher, he does a very good job at explaining things in ways we can understand. I am so excited to learn what is behind the salaat so that its no longer just a series of words and movements.

Jazak Allahu Khairan to the teachers, Staff, and volunteers @ SP :)

Sounds interesting…I think I’ll register for this one

Though 8 am Eastern time is REALLY EARLY for Ramadan Saturdays, iA it’ll be very beneficial. Registering now.
