Women’s Conference: September 8th

assalamu ‘alaykum,

I’m extremely excited to announce SunniPath’s first online conference for women! Reconnecting to Our Purpose in Life: A One-Day Online Intensive for Women will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2007 and is dedicated to inspiring us with a sense of purpose and bringing back love for Allah and His Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, into our lives.

You’re welcome to attend either individually or join a group of women in your community — by registering once, you can login once and listen together. So invite your friends and family to attend this inspirational event together.

Women's Conference

Session 1:
Our Purpose in Life
Ustadha Zaynab Ansari
10am-12pm EST / 2-4pm GMT

Session 2:
Muslim Women Through History
Ustadha Noura Shamma
2-3:30pm EST / 6-7:30pm GMT

Session 3:
The Prophet’s Love for Women
Shaykh Abdul-Kareem Yahya
4-5:30pm EST / 8-9:30pm GMT

The first session will focus on understanding our primary role in life and how this primary purpose influences the numerous secondary roles we may find ourselves in at different stages in our lives. Session two will illustrate some of the many role models we as wives, mothers, daughters, professionals, students, or activists have, so that we can bring the light of these women back into our homes and communities. The final session will focus on how we as women have been honored by Allah and His Messenger.

as salaamu alaykum,

alhamdulillah, i am so eager to participate in this event, insha’Allah! i’m not a current student but i did register and, somehow, the website is not processing my registration. what should i do? please assist.

Salaam,

I sent this out to people in our community and quite a few voiced concerns such as the one below:

“I am very intreted in this conference. I have an event and will not be able to attend on this day . I need to know if there will be a way to get a tape of this workshop. that is if it is taped or videoed. I have two girls that i am trying to teach about the deen. and need all the help i can get.( their notseeing the path yet.)”

If you register for the event, you will be able to access the recordings within 48 hours after the event. The recordings will be posted on the Women’s Conference course page insha’Allah.

I have registered although i am not currently a student on Sunnipath. However, i am having problems with processing my registration. Alhamdulillah, the event on saturday looks very inspiring. please inform me on what i can do to register for it Insha’Allah.

alhamdulillah i am very excited for this … there is NOTHING more invigorating and refreshing than joining together with other muslim sisters. As ussual, SunniPath is ingenious in this online womens event. It isnt very often that sisters are give attention when it comes to learning in islamic studies whether as students or as topics and im impressed and pleased sunnipath does both.
