Apologies on the “Reflections on the Eternal Life” Event

Posted by Saudah Mirza, Outreach Manager on June 15th, 2007

assalamu ‘alaykum,

As anyone who tried attending last Sunday’s event would know, there were issues with the internet connection on Shaykh Abdul-Kareem’s end, and after a couple of attempts, we were unable to have the live event.

The cause of the poor internet connection was disruptions with the satellite connection in Yemen, where Shaykh Abdul-Kareem lives.

Our tech team did some testing with him this week, and alhamdulillah, the connection is stable enough for him to conduct audio live sessions. Thus, his classes this weekend will go forward as planned.

We will try to reschedule the live event for sometime very soon, and will announce it on the blog as soon as we have a confirmed time.

I would like to apologize for the cancellation — you can do as much prior planning and testing as you want, but in the end of the day, Allah is the Best of Planners :)
