Orientation Weekend Is This Week

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah,
Summer 2007 OrientationWe’ve just finalized the following schedule for orientation weekend, which will take place this week, June 8-10. All four sessions are required for new students, and sessions 2 and 4 are required for repeat students.
Session 1: How do I know I’m technically set-up? Tips from Technology and Mic Testing
Sidi Abdullah Totten, Director of Technology

Saturday, June 9th at 2am GMT (Friday, June 8th at 7pm PST / 10pm EST / Saturday, June 9th at 3am UK)
OR
Saturday, June 9th at 8am GMT (1am PST / 4am EST / 9am UK)

Session 2: How should I approach Sacred Knowledge? Advice from an Instructor
Shaykh Hamza Karamali
Saturday, June 9th at 6pm GMT (11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm UK)

Session 3: How do I get started on my course? Elearning Tips and Practical Points for the Beginning of the Semester (Combined Session)

Sunday, June 10th at 4pm GMT (9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm UK)

Session 4: How can I effectively manage my time online? Time Management in an Online Environment

Please note that you will need to be registered for the Summer semester in order to access the Orientation. To attend, sign into My Courses, and choose the “Summer 2007 Orientation Session” course. Towards the top of the page, select the “Enter the live orientation” link.

Can you give an estimate of the duration of each session apart from the start times?

More specific information will be posted but generally speaking each session is about an hour long.

Assalamwaalaikum,

I realize that session 3 & 4 will be broadcast at 2am Monday Morning in Singapore. I do have the following questions.

1 - Will I be penalize for not attending session 3 & 4?
2 - Will there be recording that I can download for these sessions?

I am on vacation during this weekend. I have a possibility to join courses from an internet cafe.
are courses recorded co I can hear them again later?

Sorry that the timing is 2am for you in Singapore. Insha’Allah, don’t worry about attending live, and you can listen to the recording of the event that will be posted on the Orientation course page within 2 days of the event.

Yes, you can catch up with the recordings, which will insha’Allah be posted on the Orientation course page within 2 days of the event.

How do I log in with a user name? I do not have one. I was never asked to give one when i registered for the course. Didn’t even ask me for a password. Or am I just doing the wrong thing?!

assalamu ‘alaykum,

I’m assuming this is your first semester at SunniPath, and you registered for the first time?

If so, your username is the primary email address that you entered upon registration. And yes, you also entered a password. If you go to http://www.sunnipath.com/Academy/BVModules/CategoryTemplates/Registration%20Form/Category.aspx you will see on the “New User” tab at the very bottom a spot to fill in username and password before you can register.

If you don’t remember you password, you can try going to http://www.sunnipath.com/academy/ForgotPassword.aspx to have your password reset.

Should you still be unable to login and access orientation, please submit a ticket at the Helpdesk at http://support.sunnipath.com. For the purpose of orientation, you can use the following generic account to access orientation:

username: orientation@sunnipath.com
password: sunnipath
