Talents Outside of SP

Assalamu alaykum

Every person on the SunniPath staff has a little hobby on the side that they indulge in during their spare time. I personally like to write short stories and cook/bake. Here’s a creation that I did last week for a dinner that I hosted on behalf of four special SunniPath sisters that visited us from England. It is such a pleasure to meet our students in person!Naielah's Cake for SunniPath Sisters - Uneaten

Asalaamu Alaikum,

Alhamdulillah, a fellow baker :). What kind of cake is it?

It is a yellow cake recipe that I found online.

After I baked the cake and it cooled, I cut the top off and hallowed out the cake; then, I filled it with a previously refridgerated homemade chocolate cream filling and sealed it back up with white icing, decorated with shredded chocolate, coconut and fresh strawberries.

It was really easy and it tasted oh so delicious :) It fed over 15 people. Would you like the recipe? I can map out the ingredients, but I don’t know exact measurements. I throw things together and measure it by taste…which means lots of sugar!

The pictures were taken by our guests, who I miss dearly. When are you coming to visit us again?

Assalamu Alaykum Naielah :)

I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw this entry, it’s a real shame we had to leave Jordan Last week!

The desserts you made were gorgeous as was the main meal! I had more cake when I got back home and also for breakfast the next morning ;)

JazakhAllah khair for everything, you were all such great hosts. I think if we had the chance we’d hop on a plane and come back now, inshAllah we’ll make it back to Jordan soon :)

Insh’Allah! I miss you guys. Thanks for the responses. I forgot to take your emails before you left; so, this is great.

Jazak Allah Khayr.

Asalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

The cake sounds scrumptious! :) I don’t need the recipe but might make something similar since you gave me the idea. I know exactly what you mean about mixing together by taste. It’s not always an exact science.

:)

what a beautiful act of sisterhood for the sake of Allah…..this is how we can implement all of the things that we learn. i hope that more people follow your sunnah
